Our Mission

Our mission is to offer refuge, recovery and renewal to a diverse population of low-income women and children in Ethiopia. These women come from very poor communities where they are often physically mistreated, sick, depressed and hopeless. They live in fear for their children because food is scarce and there is no future plan for them. Our primary goal is help women and children experience self-empowerment and share that empowerment throughout their communities. Supporting women and children helps build a better future, not only in small country villages but also through Ethiopia.

We offer

Renewal – Schooling, food and emotional support for women and children as well as technical training. In addition, these diverse women and their teachers bond together three times a week, sharing each others life experiences, problems and solutions. Children get to run, play and sing in the schoolyard while their mothers are learning quilting, sewing and making jewelry for developing their own start up business.  

Recovery –  Bible-based programs that minister to the whole person; body, mind, and spirit.
